Close Aide to the President, Oronto Douglas died early this morning at the state house clinic.
Douglas, 49, a lawyer by profession gained prominence as an environmental activist on behalf of the oil-producing communities in Niger Delta.
According to SaharaReporters, Mr Douglas has been sick for several years, he continued to work over the last few weeks for Mr. Jonthan’s re-election.
A close source revealed that Oronto was devastated when his boss, Goodluck Jonathan lost the presidential polls.
He is survived by a wife and children.
