During Kanye West’s speech at Oxford a couple weeks ago, he said that President Obama “calls the home phone” — but Obama quashed that
idea when he sat down with Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday. He explained that he’s met the rapper twice, saying, “The first time when I was a senator. He was with his mom. He had just gotten big. He’s from Chicago, so they wanted to meet. He was very soft-spoken, very gracious. He was a young guy. He hadn’t quite . . . come into his own.” Obama said that the pair met a second time this past October — remember that picture Kim Kardashian posted? — but he added, “Look, I love his music. He’s incredibly creative. I don’t think I’ve got his home number.” Check out the full clip above, then watch Obama read mean tweets about himself, including one hilarious tweet about his choice of jeans.
