MR. AKANDE, PEOPLE HAVE THIS FEELING YOU RAN INTO POLITICS WHEN SONG FINISHED. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY?

Make them talk Bamzie! I'm in my late thirties, I can't be doing music anymore you know. Person pikin dey grow na. You want them to be seeing daddy in skinny jeans rocking babes on television? That won't portray a good picture I think. I feel venturing into politics is giving back to the society what the society has given you - the love and the support they've shown so far. Representing the masses and fighting for their right are things I've always believed in. That way, the kids can be proud of their dad.

SO, IT IS NOT THAT SONG FINISHED OR ANYTHING SIMILAR?

Yeah, I'm music myself and lyrics no dey finish oh. Infact I'm working on an album.

OKAY. DOES IT MEAN THEN THAT YOU'RE BACK IN MUSIC SINCE POLITICS PLAN DIDN'T BACK YOU FOR THE ELECTION?

Well. I'm a businessman, so music is business for me and I don't think ever bade music goodbye. People are just yanning dust and na their business any way. I'm still a politician, whether I get to run this year or not. I know I will still get there.

THIS ZEAL TO SERVE THE PEOPLE SHA; I HOPE IT IS NOT ALL ABOUT GREED SINCE THE GENERAL NOTION IS THAT THERE'S MONEY IN POLITICS?

Okay. To be sincere, there's really money in politics and we will take the money but it won't be for our pocket.

GOING DOWN THE MEMORY LANE, DO YOU THINK IT WAS REALLY WORTH IT USING YOUR SISTER'S UME FEE TO RECORD "LITTLE MONEY"?

Yes oh, it was worth it. It was a great step into the future.

AND WE SHOULD BE REST ASSURED THAT YOU WILL BE A GOOD POLITICIAN? THAT YOU WON'T USE POLITICS MONEY FOR SOME MUSIC TOUR JUST AS TONI PAYNE AS SAID?

At all! Toni Payne is just pained abeg. Make she go hang. I'm a good man and will be forever, no be her go dey nod Ruggedy?
