The artist was stabbed to death at his family home in Alexandra in the early hours of Monday morning.
Police have confirmed that they have taken a woman, believed to be Habedi’s girlfriend, in for questioning in relation to the murder. He is the only suspect at this time.
“At this stage we can confirm that a well known musician was allegedly stabbed to death,” police spokeswoman Lt-Col Katlego Mogale said.
“His girlfriend is in custody and she is expected to appear in court soon.”
Rapper, group member and close friend Siyabonga “Slikour” Metane confirmed the death, “I just got a call from his family. I will be on my way to his family’s home.”
Fans and friends have taken to social media to send their condolences. He is survived by 2 kids
