Hiphop Music started as a fusion of emcees’ verses over samples from other music genres; such as Jazz, and Milky Way is a blast to the past, in that sense.
It’s some solid rapping, over a Jazz sample that takes you back to the Golden Era of Hiphop. tGM shows his dexterity and wit with the deep and layered lyrics containing several astronomical allusions, hence, the title; Milky Way.
Overall, it’s a beautiful product of lyrical and sonically creativity, it’s an assurance of hope for Hiphop and a stellar beginning for tGM.
It promises to be stuck on your repeat as soon as you hear it.
