he International news network, Cable News Network (CNN) is rejecting all political adverts from Nigeria, reports NewsDay.
The news channel has turned down the request of many politicians to have the TV station run their political adverts.
Ashley Hogan-Gancarz, the account manager of CNN International said the company had taken that decision to safeguard its business interests.
He noted there was a general rule not to accept certain advertisements, adding that it was not targeted against Nigerian politicians.
He said the news channel does not accept political or religious advertising due to the Ofcom regulations.
Ofcom is the regulator of the broadcast industry in the United Kingdom, from where CNN International oversees its operations in Africa.
