I’m one of the very few people in this world that still thinks Ozil is a good attacking midfielder. Don’t worry, I’ll write an article on that soon enough. So I wasn’t so surprised when Arsene Wenger announced that he had no regrets over Ozil.
Even though The Gunners had first option on signing Fabregas after they inserted a clause in the deal which took
him to Barcelona in 2011. But Wenger decided against making a move the Spaniard during the last transfer window and he eventually joined
Chelsea for £30million.
It is important to note currently that while at Chelsea, so far, Fabregas has had (in all competitions)
Appearances: 9
Goals: 1
Assists: 8
Where as my Ozil has managed in the same number of games
Appearances: 9
Goals: 1
Assists: 2
But try playing Fabregas on the wings and we’ll see if he can assist. I’m just saying.
Speaking to BeIN sports, Arsene Wenger insisted: ‘I don’t regret not taking Cesc because we already had a lot of creative players in our midfield.’
